William Thomas Grizzard

Mr. William T. Grizzard , 88, of Notasulga, passed away June 6, 2019. He was born May 19, 1931.

Funeral service will be Monday, June 10, at 1 pm, at First Baptist Church of Reeltown with Pastor Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Reeltown Cemetery with military honors, Linville Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, June 9, from 6 to 8 pm, at First Baptist Church of Reeltown.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mildred Lindsey Grizzard; children, Deborah Griffin, Pamela Grizzard (Larry Standifer), Patti (Charles) Stallions and Mark (Cindy) Grizzard; grandchildren, John (Rachel) Griffin, Jamison (Sherry) Griffin, Bryan (Kim) Nelson, Kelley (Eric) Rollings, Paige Davis, Rachel Stallions, Heather Grizzard, Rianna Stallions, Michael (Ashley) Griffin, Keller Grizzard and Rebekah Stallions; ten great grandchildren; sister, Mary Pruett and an extended, loving family.

Mr. Grizzard honorably served our country in the U. S. Navy and U. S. Air Force and retired after 24 years of total service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Reeltown, where he served as a deacon. He was a great story teller, he enjoyed working in his garden, and was a handyman with a knack for fixing anything. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
