Virginia Louise Dantro

Ms. Virginia Louise Griggs Dantro, age 74, of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024 in Montgomery, Alabama. She was born January 18, 1950.

Visitation will be Friday, September 6, 2024 beginning at 1:00 PM at Linville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jay Woodall officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her father, Henry Floyd Griggs and her mother, Ellen Lucile Griggs. Virginia was the youngest of four and was preceded in death by her three siblings, Howard Charles Griggs, Geneva Messer and Nellie Alexander.

She is survived by her two children, Jacqueline Dantro and Jamie Dantro (Patricia Healey).

Ginny, as she was lovingly referred to, leaves behind one brother-in-law, Charles Messer; six grandchildren, Trent Hudson, Anna Claire Dantro, Jacob Dantro, Lilian Davis, Riley Dantro, and River Dantro.

She loved working as a medical assistant for Dr. Garnett for twenty three years. She had a love for life, her children, grandchildren, family and friends,  the Lord and the outdoors and flowers.
