Timothy Hoyt Melton

Timothy Hoyt Melton, age 74, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 30, 2022. He was born March 16, 1948.

Born and raised in Tallassee, Alabama, Timothy graduated from Tallassee High School and completed his bachelor's degree from Auburn University and his master's degree from Troy University. Tim taught mathematics at Tallassee High School and Wetumpka High School and retired from teaching in 1998. He tutored at AUM in Montgomery for the next ten years.

Timothy is survived by his two children, Staci Hickman (Tim) and Aimee Allison (Leon) four grandchildren, Wesley Adkins, Jake Allison, Dylan Hickman and Alex Hickman; two sisters and one brother.

Tim enjoyed fly fishing, ballroom dancing, listening to music, spending time with his grandchildren, and his Auburn Tigers.

A memorial service will be held at Linville Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 10:00 am with Chaplain Douglas McKinney officiating.
