Timothy Eason, Sr.

Timothy Eason, Sr, 68, of Tallassee, passed away December 10, 2024. He was born March 4, 1956.

Visitation will be held from 5 pm – 7 pm, Friday, December 20, 2024 at Linville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 10 am, Saturday, December 21, 2024 at First Baptist Church Eclectic with Rev. Wren Aaron officiating. Burial will follow in Chana Creek Cemetery.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William L. Eason, Sr. and Virginia P. Eason and brothers, William L. Eason, Jr. and Kenneth M. Eason. 

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Nancy J. Eason; son, Timothy Eason, Jr.; daughter, Sarah E Eason; grandchildren, Ellen and Pierce Eason; brothers, James D. Eason, Charles E. Eason and Donald P. Eason; sister, Betty E. Burke and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. 

Mr. Eason was a high school teacher for over 40 years. He taught mathematics, physical education and health. He coached a variety of sports in his lifetime including football, baseball, basketball, tennis, and wrestling. He was an avid Auburn fan and Alum. He was also a builder and enjoyed construction projects. He liked gardening and farming in his free time. He was a great husband, father, mentor, and friend to everyone. He will be missed dearly by all of us.
