Sumer Nicole Baker

Sumer Nicole Baker, 29, of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away peacefully in her sleep in her family home on Saturday, January 8, 2022, after a very short battle with cancer. Sumer was born on September 8, 1992. Sumer always had a smile for everyone she met. She enjoyed eating sushi and getting her nails done. She also enjoyed crocheting in her spare time. Sumer loved spending time with her beautiful daughter, Aliyah.

She is survived by her daughter, Aliyah Norrell; father, Joseph Baker; mother, Heather Baker; brothers, Jackson, Sullivan and Preston Baker; grandparents, William and Diane Stinchcomb; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and special friends, Robert and Lynn Norrell, Scott Norrell and T.J. Robinson.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 4 pm to 6 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, January 13, 2022, at 10 am at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Bridgman and Rev. Lance Houlton officiating. Pall bearers will be Josh Rigsby, Brandon Rigsby, Bobby Gates, Rocky Miller, Jason Miller and Isaac Miller. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers expressions of love may take the form of contributions to The American Cancer Society Research or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
