Mr. Steven Lee Goldston, 66, of Eclectic, passed away April 29, 2015. He was born June 16, 1948.
The family will receive friends Saturday, May 2 from 9:30 to 11am with service at 11:00 am at Refuge Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Scarborough officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Myna Goldston; his mother, Dorothy Goldston; mother-in-law, Nellie Dopson; sisters-in-law, Dianne Gantt and Patricia Dopson and brother-in-law, David Dopson; niece Ashley Cline (Michael); great nephews, Larson, Eiler and Codey Cline; uncle, James Williams and several cousins.
He was a member of Refuge Baptist Church. He enjoyed collecting all types of clocks, including grandfather clocks. He was passionate about Civil War History, he would challenge himself to see if he could grow a tree from a limb, and he was a self-taught rock mason which was evident in his landscaping work. Flea market furniture always had a second chance with Steve because he would pick it up and refinish it for someone to enjoy.
Flowers accepted or donations may be made to Refuge Baptist Church in Steve's memory.
