Shirley Susan Davidson

Mrs. Shirley Susan Jackson Davidson of Tallassee, Alabama passed away peacefully on January 7, 2025 at the age of 75.

Mrs. Davidson (as she was known by all of her former students) or better known as MiMi (the name given by her beloved grandkids) was born on December 13, 1949 to Mr. Harry Jackson (living) and Mrs. Shirley Jackson (deceased). She is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Jackson, and her grandson, Brooks Allen Davidson.

Mrs. Davidson is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, David Davidson; her two children, Joey Davidson (Lisa Davidson) and Andy Davidson (Alicia Davidson), her six amazing grandchildren, Austin Davidson, Chloe Davidson, Carter Davidson, Alexandra Arnold, Braden Arnold, Will Smith and her eight siblings, Ann Roy, Tom Jackson (Kathryn), Patricia Langston (David), Karen Jackson, Jenny Schaefer (Lenny), Lee Jackson (Nancy), Clare Reading (Bill), Nancy Bradford (John) and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

MiMi most loved watching her grandchildren in their sports and other activities. She was either at a softball field, baseball field, football field, bass tournament weigh-in or just enjoying a beautiful day at her home with her family and friends having barbecue ribs. She also loved her many adventures metal detecting with her husband and friends.

MiMi was adored by all of her family and friends along with her countless students that she taught in her 37 years as a teacher. She will be greatly missed by everyone as she positively and lovingly touched the lives of every person that was fortunate to have known her.

Visitation will be Monday, January 13, 2025 at Linville Memorial Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral service will follow on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 12:00 pm at First Methodist Church of Tallassee. Burial will follow in Carrville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored by memorial contributions to any Leukemia foundation of choice.
