Rosaline Murray

January 31, 1944 — August 19, 2022

Rosaline Yvonne Runyon Murray, age 78, of Eclectic, Alabama, passed away Friday, August 19, 2022. Rosaline, 1 of 7 sisters, was born on January, 31, 1944, in Mingo County, West Virginia.

Rosaline was the most giving, loving and nonjudgmental person you'd meet. She was adored by all, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was strong willed and devoted her life to her family and being a mother to many. Rosaline always mentioned how she was blessed to have a big family and being with them were her happiest moments.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rhodes Runyon and Martha Jane Runyon; son, Martin Howard Murray; great-grandson, Josiah Meadors; sisters, Delphia Davis (Bill), Audrey Burgess (Bill), Manoka Lawrence (Gary) and Paula Allen; brothers-in-law, James Atwell and Bobby Hager.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Thomas Murray; her daughter, Eleanor Clark (Jack); grandchildren, Matthew Clark, Jessica Murray, Kayla Murray, Marlena Murray, Amber Galloway (Chris), Andrew Jay Clark and Kent Murray; great-grandchildren, Alaina Murray, Paisley Murray and Audrey Murray; sisters, Columbia Hager and Ruby Atwell; brothers-in-law, Clyde Allen, Bill Murray (Carol), James Erwin (Beth), Stoney Erwin (Donna); and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rosaline was loved and cherished by her family, church family, and all who knew her; she will be missed dearly. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Autism Speaks, which was a charity near and dear to Rosaline's heart. AustismSpeaks.org

Funeral service will be graveside only at Bullard Cemetery at 10 am on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. The service will be officiated by Rev. Colby Bellew.
