Robert Lee (Bob) Shippey

Mr. Robert Lee Shippey (Bob), age 77, a resident of Eclectic, passed away Monday, September 16, 2024. He was born June 29, 1947.

He is survived by his children, Paula and Robert (Crystal); fiancée, Terry; brother, Jack; sisters, Sue, Debbie, Jody; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and several special friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Dee Shippey and mother, Audrey Williams Shippey.

Bob served in the United States Air Force for over 22 years and retired as SMSgt. Bob was a man of many interests and talents and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He never seemed to meet a stranger. Every time Bob was asked how he was doing, he would always reply with "If I got any better, I couldn't stand it".

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM at Claud Independent Methodist Church on Friday, September 20, 2024. Rev. Ray Weaver will be officiating and burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Bob requested all donations be made to Claud Independent Methodist Church, 81232 Tallassee Hwy, Eclectic, AL 36024.
