Richard Lee Guy, Sr.

Richard Lee Guy Sr., age 80 of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on November 6, 2020. He was born August 6, 1940.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Shirley Guy; his stepdad, John Marendt Jr.; his brothers, Jimmy, Timothy, and Donald Guy and his lifelong companion of 38 years, Mary Roberts.

Richard is survived by his sons, Richard Guy Jr. (Nancy), Jon Guy (Melissa), Chris Guy, Chad Guy, Dean Guy (Erica); daughter, Denell Carwein (Scott); sisters, Sandy Siebenthal, Pat Guy Hunt, Vickie Guy Dotterweich; and brother, Jeff Guy; as well as seventeen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Richard retired from Chrysler and enjoyed playing golf, bowling, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a veteran, serving in the United States Marine Corps and a member of the American Legion Golf Course in Kokomo. He also worked at International Harvester and part-time at Play Bowl Lanes and Raceway Lanes, both in Indianapolis, as a mechanic.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 12 noon to 3 pm at the American Legion Post 6, 2604 S. Lafountain St, Kokomo, Indiana 46902.
