Opal Daniel Aldridge

Opal Daniel Aldridge, 83, of Eclectic, passed away July 26, 2024. She was born November 7, 1940.

She is preceded in death by her husband Wayne Aldridge; daughters Pam Gates, Nadia Hughes and Samantha Evans; mother Laylor Daniel; father David Daniel; sister Jerry Thornton and brother Shelby Daniel.

She is survived by her children Shelia Daniel, Starla Watkins (Jeff), Wanda Cosby (LaDon), Judy Weed (Kenneth), Rhonda Whorton (Daniel Dickey), Mary Whitt (David) and Lee Evans (Katia); and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She loved gardening and cooking for her family, even up to two weeks before her passing.

Tallassee Church of Christ will be conducting a celebration of life gathering on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The church is located at 209 Gilmer Avenue, Tallassee, Alabama.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy be memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
