Mary Ford Sharpe, 56, resident of Eclectic, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 after her battle with breast cancer, to be with Jesus. She was born January 8, 1957.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 24 from 12 noon until 1:30 pm, followed by the funeral services at 2:00 pm in the Chapel at Linville Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.
She is preceded in death by her father, Odie E. Ford; her mother, Geraldine C. Ford; and her brother, Charles W. Ford.
She is survived by her husband, James H. “Jimmy” Sharpe, Jr.; her son, James H. “Jamie” Sharpe, III; her daughter, Casey (Jason) Eason and her two grandchildren, Taylor Ann and Jaden Eason, all of Eclectic, AL.
She is also survived by her sisters, Ann Ford-Rafferty (John) from Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Therese Ford from Montgomery, AL; and her brother, John J. Ford (Terri) from Hope Hull, AL. She is also survived by eight nieces and nephews and eighteen great-nieces and nephews as well as dear friends who will miss her caring, loving, sweet spirit and friendships throughout her life.
Mary Sharpe worked 32 years at ALFA and she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eclectic and a proud supporter of “Rush of Fools.” She will forever be in our hearts as a precious wife and caring mother.
