Mary Frances Hornsby

Mary Frances Hornsby, 87, of Tallassee, passed away June 1, 2023. She was born September 22, 1935.

Visitation will begin at 11 am, Monday, June 5, 2023 with funeral service to follow at 12 noon at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Esko and Minnie Lee Waites; husband, Bennie Ray Hornsby; sisters, Bertha Waites, Inell (Ernest) Mask, Elizabeth (Al) Heath and Barbara Jean (Charlie) Durham; and brothers, James (Era) Waites, Glenn (Lorraine) Waites, David (Ollie) Waites and Gerald (Dot) Waites.

She is survived by her sons, Scott (Cindy) Hornsby and Hal (Lori) Hornsby; daughter, Melinda Skinner; grandchildren, Justin (Tobi) Skinner, Bill (Kim) Holliday, Brooke (Jerry) Motes; great-grandchildren, Hope (Richard) Whitehead, Hayden Holliday, Daniel Holliday, Chase (Christen) Motes, Kynlee Motes, Eden Wisener, Ensley Skinner and Waylon Skinner; great-great-grandchild, Whitley Ray Whitehead; sister and brother-in-law, Clara and Fred Heydenreich of Crawfordsville, FL; sister-in-law, Barbara Hornsby of Tuckers, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
