Margaret Pate

Margaret Ann Pate, 82, of Tallassee, passed away July 31, 2022. She was the second of four children born to Warren and Trudie Oliver on September 19, 1939.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 2 pm at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Knight officiating.

Margaret graduated from Tallassee High School. She was a Legal Secretary for various law firms for many years. Margaret enjoyed playing softball, riding her green and white motorcycle, and ballroom dancing with Donald when she was young. Later in life, Margaret enjoyed working in her flower gardens, doing yard work, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was an avid Braves baseball and Alabama Crimson Tide fan.

Margaret met her husband, Donald when they lived on the same street in Tallassee. Through their 66 years of marriage, they raised four children, Michael Pate, Gregory Pate, Rhonda (Les) Kent, and Wanda Bice. Her beloved grandchildren are Cameron Bice, Tiffany (Tim) Morse, Courtney Bice, Mason Kent, Lauren (Zack) Fomby, Cody (Sonia) Faulk, Chelsey Pate, and Lindsey Pate (Tye Thom); and great-grandchildren, Ciarra, Cambrea, Landon, Cody Jr., Naomi, Kaleena, and Jaylen.

Margaret was loved dearly by her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her tight hugs and good cooking. She is joined in Heaven by her parents, and other family members.
