Louise Shaw

Louise Shaw, 94, of Tallassee, passed away November 11, 2021. She was born July 28, 1927.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Esther Jones; husband, Hugh Harold Shaw and brother, Curtis E. Jones.

She is survived by her son, Hugh Errol Shaw (Judy Short Shaw), grandchild, Chad Shaw (Audrey B. Shaw), great-grandchild, Coleman James Shaw; grandchild, Kori Shaw Caldwell (Daniel Caldwell); and great-grandchild, Julia Caldwell; son, Barry Neal Shaw (Sharon Hornsby Shaw); grandchild, Stephanie Shaw Rapley (Luke); great-grandchild, Libby Rapley; grandchild, Kristen Shaw Montana (Jeff); and great-grandchildren, Nicholas Montana, Sophie Montana, Jacob Shaw and Remi Montana. She is also survived by her brother, Ben Jones (Faye) and sister, Mary Ruth Webster.

Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3:00 pm, Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Carrville Baptist Church. Graveside service and burial will follow at 3:00 pm at Carrville Cemetery with Rev. Clint McBroom officiating.

She was a member of Carrville United Methodist Church and also a member of First United Methodist Church of Tallassee. She enjoyed sewing, especially for her grandchildren, as well as cooking for everyone. She will be remembered for her pound cakes and there was always one on her counter. She loved hosting the family at holidays.
