Louis Andrew Achimon, Jr.

Louis Andrew Achimon, Jr., 91, of Tallassee, passed away March 2, 2025. He was born November 4, 1933.

Visitation will begin at 1 pm, Thursday, March 6, 2025 at First Baptist Church Tallassee. Funeral service will follow at 2 pm with Rev. Trey Waldrop officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis Andrew Achimon and Gay Nell Achimon. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Emma Jo Pollard Achimon; children, Andy Achimon (Diane) and Joanna Achimon; grandchildren, Anna Kristen Garsnett (Jeffrey) and Thomas Mathew Hussey (Morgan); great-grandchildren, Judson Hussey, Juniper Hussey and Foster Hussey; brother Stan Achimon (Sara) and a large, loving extended family.

He served as a deacon at First Baptist Church Tallassee and was a member of the Lions Club in Tallassee and many other Lions Clubs. In his youth, he was a Boy Scout and was awarded his Eagle Scout. Louis was a proud United States Army veteran who enjoyed yardwork and RV travel. He was a people person who loved and valued his friends and was a avid Auburn fan. War Eagle!
