Lex Crowson

Our brother in faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, Lex Crowson, went to meet with his Saviour in the early hours of Wednesday morning, July 6, 2011, after a brief illness.

While living on this earth, Lex joined in Holy Matrimony with Dorothy Annette Howard.This union is blessed with two beloved children, Lexie Anne Crowson (Christopher Minish) of Atlanta and grandson, Devin Minish and Karl Crowson (Cathy Harris) of Birmingham and grandchildren, Kolby and Kade Crowson.

Lex loved the Lord with all of his heart and followed His commandment to go and preach the good news.He was truly a layman preacher who talked anywhere, anytime, and with anyone about his Lord Jesus.He served in the U. S. Army during World War II in the infantry under General Patton and remained a true patriot of the United States of America.He leaves his love and memories behind with his family and Angel, his beloved dog and companion.

Graveside funeral services will be Friday, July 8, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, AL with military honors and burial following, Rev. Larry McEndarfer, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home.
