Leon Alton Estes

Leon Alton Estes, 93, of Eclectic, passed away February 10, 2025. He was born October 27, 1931.

He is survived by his daughters, Donna Parker and Bonnie Scroggins; sister, Wanda Fisher; grandchildren, Kimberly Scroggins, Justin Bush, Ashley Forrest (Matthew) and Gwendolynn Coker (Will); great-grandsons, Luke and Gray Coker; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Joan Emfinger Estes.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 17, 2025 beginning at 9:30 am at Linville Memorial Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 10:00 am with Rev. Scott Demick officiating. There will be a private burial at a later date.

Mr. Estes graduated from Elmore County High School, Class of 1950. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy from 1950 to 1954, stationed at Pearl Harbor and served as a naval cook. He worked as a carpenter for many years and after retirement, he was an avid fisherman on Lake Jordan up until the age of 91. He enjoyed spending time with his family and they will forever keep his memory in their hearts.
