Lawton Graham

Mr. Lawton “Big” Graham, age 89, a resident of Tallassee, passed away April 13, 2012. He was born September 7, 1922.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 15, 2012 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service Monday, April 16, 2012 at 10:00 am at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Terry Johnson and Rev. Vaughan Gardner officiating. Burial at Rose Hill Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret Graham; daughter, Scotty Barfield (Terry); son, Nicky Graham (Beth); sisters, Doris Kinsal and Dean Blake; brother, Dan Graham; grandchildren, Jason Taunton (Michelle), Shannon Graham (Leigh) and Brandon Graham (Blaire); and great-grandchildren, Kristian Taunton, Cody Taunton, Kaley Taunton, Christian Ashford, Braxton Graham, Reece Graham, Pressley Graham and Bentley Graham.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Ed Graham; sister, Rebecca Ingram and granddaughter, Jennifer Taunton.

Mr. Graham retired from Alabama Power Co. after 37-1/2 years of service. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and he was a member of Bethelem East Baptist Church.
