Lawrence Thornell

Mr. Roscoe Lawrence Thornell, age 76, a resident of Eclectic, passed away July 10, 2012. He was born April 1, 1936.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 12, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, July 13, 2012 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church of Eclectic with Rev. Britt Green and Rev. Mark Smith officiating. Burial at Bullard Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.

Lawrence worked for the State of Alabama for forty-one years with the Highway Department (ALDOT) and ADECA.

He is survived by his wife, Moncell Thornell; mother, Libby Ruth Thornell; sons, Larry Thornell (Janice) and David Thornell (Carol); grandchildren, Brad Thornell (Pattie), Blake Thornell (Sarah), Libby Thornell and Brett Thornell; great-granddaughter, Katy Thornell; brothers, James Thornell and Charlie Thornell; and sisters, Carolyn Denham (Rex) and Ruthie Spencer (Les).

He is preceded in death by his father, Dallas Roscoe Thornell and his great niece, Loryn Alexandria Brown.
