Mrs. Laverne Turner Gaither, 87, a resident of Kent, passed away April 20, 2014. She was born April 15, 1927 in Dadeville, Alabama.
Visitation one hour prior to the 2 pm funeral service on Friday, April 25 at Bethlehem East Baptist Church with Rev. Faron Golden officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.
She is survived by daughter, Felicia Gaither Adams; grandchildren, Chuck Gaither, Nicki Crumpler, Amber Tucker, Beau Gaither, Amelia Quasebarth, Michelle Moody and Jennifer Bryars; sister, Mary Dean; brother, D. L. Turner and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Edsel M. Gaither and a son, Edsel Turner Gaither.
Laverne was a very loving and supportive wife to Edsel for over 62 years. She was fully devoted to her husband and family throughout her entire life. She was loved by all who knew her and her legacy lives on through her family.
