Kenneth H. Brown

Kenneth H. Brown of Tallassee passed away at the age of 79 on Saturday, October 21, 2023. He was born May 30, 1944.

He graduated from Tallassee High School in 1962 and then attended trade school to become a machinist. He worked for 40 years at Davis Machine Works in Opelika and enjoyed his many years of retirement.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at East Tallassee Methodist Church, 103 Central Blvd, Tallassee, AL, with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 AM. Rev. Jay Woodall will be officiating.

He is preceded in death by his parents Houston and Virginia Brown.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janice Pemberton Brown; children, Dawn (Lee) Gantt and Kelly (Marc) Leventhal; grandchildren, Misty (Trey) Martin, Jeremy (Vanessa) Zellers, Madison Gantt, Luna Gantt, Alyssa Leventhal; great-grandchildren, Brent (Alisha) Cowart, TJ Martin, Aubrie Martin, Ethan Martin, Bodhi Martin, Wilma Rose Martin, Clay Martin, Aubrey Myers, Jeremiah Zellers, Kellen-Jo Zellers, Maverick Zellers, Payton Snow; and great-great-granddaughter, Madelyn Cowart.

He was a lifelong Auburn fan and loved to read. He also enjoyed finding new places to eat, especially bar-b-que.

Kenneth usually wore T-shirts, shorts, and flip-flops so everyone is welcome to dress casually for the services.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be memorial contributions in his memory to ACTS or your favorite charity.
