Karl Andrew Schiffer

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Karl Andrew Schiffer, age 57. Born on September 10, 1965, to his parents Ray and Holly Schiffer of Selma, Alabama, Karl passed away at his home in Kent, Alabama on May 17, 2023.

Karl graduated from Selma High School and received an associate degree from Wallace Community College. He was most recently employed by Madix, Inc.

Karl is survived by his twin daughters, Holly Schiffer Dutton (Clay) and Betty Schiffer Patten (Austin) and his five grandchildren, Pierce (7), Luke (5), Adeline (2.5), Dudley (2.5) and Palmer (9 months). He is also survived by his mother Holly Nichols Schiffer, his sister Lori Schiffer Tolar (Greg), his brothers Steven Albert Schiffer and James Raymond "Jim" Schiffer, nieces, a nephew, and extended family and friends. Karl was preceded in death by his father, Ray A. Schiffer.

Karl was a man of many talents and passions. He had an innate ability to feel deeply. Although his early life was cut short, he leaves behind a legacy of resilience through his mother, children, and grandchildren. In the wake of this tragic loss, let us remember Karl as the man who loved his family. May his spirit live on through the memories we hold dear and the love we continue to share. Though he may be physically absent, his presence will forever be felt in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at Linville Memorial Funeral Home, Eclectic Alabama on June 3, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Mateusz Rudzik officiating.
