Joseph Robert Parks

Joseph Robert Parks, 94, of Eclectic, passed away November 20, 2020. He was born October 25, 1926.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 2 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home with Chaplain Douglas McKinney Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 pm at the funeral home. A private burial will follow.

He is survived by his children, Joseph R. Parks Jr., Pamela J. Parks and Deborah Harris (David); grandchildren, Matthew Worthy (Karita), Mitchell Worthy, Joe Kirkland Jr., Betty Chandler (Robert), Andrew Parks and Jacob Parks; numerous great grandchildren and a large, loving extended family.

He served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a member of VFW and enjoyed telling jokes, jitterbug dancing, woodworking and being a mechanic. He had a huge heart and especially adored his grandchildren. He was always helping others and will be remembered as “Lake Martin Stud.”

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to the local VFW, 100 Otter Track Rd, Wetumpka, AL 36092.
