Johnny Ezra Davis, 83, of Eclectic, passed away January 22, 2021. He was born March 4, 1937.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family memorial service for immediate family only will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 12 noon at Linville Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jim Tate officiating. Friends who wish to join the service may do so via Facebook live at service time.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Virginia Maloy Davis; his wife of 17 years, Anna Hicks Davis; parents, William Penn and Hattie Sellers Davis; and seven siblings.

He is survived by his children, Kenneth (Lisa) Davis, Paulette Davis Goodson, Tammy (Keith) Thornton and Joanna (Danny) Burkett; grandchildren, Chris Davis, Shanna Sims (Kiley), Jared Davis, Trey Goodson (Ali), Katie Goodson, John Thornton, Brooke Burkett and Taylor Burkett; great grandchildren, Bryce Sims, Brayden Sims and Brennan Sims; siblings, Mary Layton, Paul Davis (Jane), Patricia Barnett, Martha Lynn Ellis (Earl) and Claude Davis (Joyce); special niece and nephew, Sharon Nykamp (Randy) and Tim Davis (Randy) and a loving, extended family.

He retired from Union Camp Corp with 30 years of service and was also a United States Air Force veteran. He was a member of Dixie Roadrunners Camping Club. He enjoyed camping, hiking, running, NASCAR and Auburn football. War Eagle!
