Jimmy Austin

Jimmy Willard Austin, 69, of Eclectic, passed away November 5, 2023. He was born on October 6, 1954.

Visitation will begin at 11 am with funeral service to follow at 12 noon, Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Linville Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Faith Baptist Church Cemetery.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Gladys Austin; father, Willard Oliver Austin; son, Kenny Lee Austin; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Lou Austin; sister, Patricia Ann Segrest and brother-in-law, Tommy Talley.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Debra Austin; son, Jimmy Willard Austin II; grandsons, Mikey Austin (Shelly), Justin Austin and Jimmy Willard Austin III (Evan); granddaughters, Alicia Marks, Kelsey Owens and Haley St. John; five great-grandchildren; sister, June Talley; brother, Donnie Austin; several nieces and nephews and two fur babies, Little Bit and Scrappy.

Jimmy was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was a licensed minister and enjoyed singing, karaoke, playing the guitar and working with wood. In his earlier years, he enjoyed camping, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
