Jeremy Daniel Norrell, a resident of Tallassee, passed on to Heaven on May 22, 2011 to sing in God's Choir. Jeremy was a blessing sent to Jerry and Peggy Norrell on April 4, 1969. Jeremy had a love for life, enjoyed laughter and had a great faith in God. He attended Tallassee High School and then the University of Alabama where he graduated in 1992 with degrees in Political Science and English. He enjoyed serving as vice-president of his fraternity, Phi Kappa Psi, and he served as the trainer for the Alabama Football Team during his college years. For over 12 years, he had a fulfilling career as a pharmaceutical representative, but music was his life. About 6 years ago, Jeremy decided to pursue this love and achieved an engineering and recording arts degree. He had a God-given talent with music that is well-known among his friends and family as well as many members of the community. He was a talented songwriter, musician and composer, and earned numerous national music awards. He is loved dearly by his family, and the many friendships formed in his life gave Jeremy much pleasure throughout the years.
Jeremy is survived by his parents, Jerry and Peggy (Evans) Norrell. He is also survived by a host of aunts and uncles as well as nieces and nephews, cousins and many, many friends. He is also survived by some special friendships from the RA Group at Liberty Baptist Church and many Tallassee High School Classmates from 1987.
Jeremy is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Annie B. and Thomas E. Evans and his paternal grandparents, Lena (Coker) and Aubrey Norrell. Also, he is preceded in death by his "grandfather" uncle, Thomas H. Evans, two special cousins, Charles Leon Evans and Timothy Cole Evans, and numerous aunts and uncles. A very special friend of the family, Patsy Blankenship, has also preceded him.
