With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jennifer S. Holton, a beloved wife, mother, sister, cousin, and friend. Born on February 19, 1979, to NanNette Gaither Todd and Lynn Sterling, Jennifer spent her early years in Montgomery before moving to Tallassee at the age of 12. At 16, she relocated to Wetumpka, where she graduated from Wetumpka High School in 1997.
Soon after, she embarked on a career in banking, during which she met the love of her life, Kristopher Holton. The two were married on November 6, 1999, beginning a beautiful journey together. Jennifer's greatest joy in life was her family, especially her two wonderful children, Jazmine and Hunter. A devoted mother, she provided unwavering love, warmth, and encouragement, always putting her family first.
Passionate about preserving history, Jennifer was a founding member of the local chapter of the Order of the Confederate Rose. She served in leadership roles at both the local and state levels and deeply cherished the friendships she built within the organization, especially her close bond with the late Donna Jo Haats. Jennifer will be remembered for her kind spirit, boundless love, and the countless ways she touched the lives of those around her. Her legacy of devotion and warmth will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 12 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, NanNette Gaither Todd and Lynn Sterling, as well as her brother-in-law, David Smith. She is survived by her loving husband, Kris; her cherished children, Jazmine and Hunter; her brothers, Kelly Emfinger (Patty) and Buddy Todd; her sister, Kristi Todd; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sherry and James Holton; her sister-in-law, Dawn Smith; her stepfather, Norman Todd; cousins Tonya (Trey) Rogers and Andy Bodenheimer; and a host of family and friends who will forever hold her memory dear.
