Jay W. Rowland, 87, of Tallassee, formerly of Savannah, Georgia, passed away December 1, 2020. He was born October 23, 1933.

Graveside service and burial will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 10:00 am at Bethlehem East Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. John Sparks officiating, Linville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory directing.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Tina L. Rowland; parents, J. W. and Velma Rowland; brother, Paul Rowland and sister Virgie Green.

He is survived by his children, Jeff W. Rowland and Anthony J. Rowland (Anita); grandchildren, Justin Rowland, Kenneth Rowland, Kameron Rowland, Christopher Rowland, Kobe Rowland, Jordan Rowland, Lexi Rowland, Cade Rowland and Jaden Rowland; great grandchildren, Charleigh Rowland and Oakleigh Rowland; sister, Frances Knight; sister-in-law, Judy Rowland; special son, Jacob Hollis; a very dear niece, Delaine and nephew, Eddie Barnes and a loving extended family.

He honorably served in the United States Army. His hobbies were golf, boating and following the stock market. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Red Hill Fire Department.
