Hollis Glenn Jones, 84, of Eclectic, AL, passed away on Wednesday, August 4th, 2021, at Baptist Medical Center East Hospital in Montgomery, AL. He was born December 12, 1936 to Roy Henderson Jones and Mamie Lucille Mullins Jones of Eclectic, AL.
Hollis is survived by his wife of 51 years, Margie Ellis Jones; two children: Scott Ellis Jones, and Bradley Glenn Jones and wife, Amanda; two grandchildren: Ashley Jones Dunn and husband Coleman, and Emily Jones; two great grandchildren: Parker Dunn and Ellison Dunn; his brother, William Douglas Jones and wife Sherree; and his extended family.
Following graduation from Elmore County High School, Eclectic, AL, Hollis served in the Army National Guard from 1955 until 1963. Hollis farmed and also worked for John Deere Tractor Company in Montgomery, AL and co-owned Central Auto Parts in Wetumpka, AL for many years.
Hollis’ family is grateful to his church, Oak Valley Station United Methodist Church, Tallassee, AL for their love and support. We would also like to thank the medical staffs of Elmore Community Hospital, Wetumpka, AL and Baptist Medical Center East Hospital, Montgomery, AL for their care and support.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation at Oak Valley Station United Methodist Church, 162 Parsonage Road, Tallassee, AL, on Saturday, August 7, from 11:00 am to noon. A celebration of life service will be held at noon at the church with a graveside service to follow at Oak Valley Station Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory directing.
