Hilda Montez Lumpkin

Hilda Montez Lumpkin, 77, of Eclectic, passed away December 31, 2023. She was born October 2, 1946 in Tallassee, Alabama.

Visitation will begin at 9 am on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Bethlehem East Baptist Church with funeral service following at 10 am. Robbie Grigsby will officiate the service. Pall bearers will be Robbie Grigsby, Alex Hatcher, Brandon Grigsby, Jeremy Lumpkin, Samuel Grigsby, James Grigsby and Ronnie Brantley. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bobby Lumpkin; daughter Melonie Speakes; son Keith Lumpkin; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister Marvarene Swicord and brother Steve Davis.

She is survived by her daughter Pam Grigsby (James); grandchildren Robbie Grigsby (Amber), Alex Hatcher (Breanna), Brandon Grigsby, Jeremy Lumpkin (Brianna) and Samuel Grigsby (Cora) and great-grandchildren Everleigh, Bowen, Elias and Dani Mae.

Her entire life was s testament to her faith in Jesus Christ – the strongest woman we’ve ever known.
