Mrs. Gladys W. Harrison, age 89, a resident of Tallassee, passed away April 12, 2013. She was born March 20, 1924.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 14 from 4 to 6 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, April 15 at 11 am at Claud Independent Methodist Church with Rev. Ray Weaver and Rev. Mike Weldon officiating. The family will also receive friends at the church one hour before the funeral, from 10 to 11 am. Burial will follow at the church cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home Directing.
Those left to mourn her loss and rejoice her life are her son, Danny (Renee) Harrison; grandchildren, Susan (Scotty) Wallace; Stephanie (Joel) Burdette and Leah (Matt) Missildine; and great-grandchildren, Andrew Bennett, Joseph Burdette and Luke Burdette. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Ruth Webster; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Willard F. Harrison; father, Willie Jackson Webster; mother, Annie Mae Webster; daughter, Sandra Harrison Kelley; infant grandson, Jeffrey Paul Kelley; and siblings, Eurrell Webster, Emory Webster, Marie W. Hensley, Clara W. McNeal, David Webster and Josie M. Prickett.
The family sends thanks to Dr. Melvin Russell; Community Hospice staff, Allyson Walls, Keandra Henderson, Stacinea Ahenkora, Amy Jeter and Kandy Gantt; and her wonderful caregivers, Katie Cordell, Stephanie Davis, Pat Colvard, Jean Freeman, Stephanie Queen, Judy Campbell, Benita Morse, Annette Fort and Jenice Hornsby.
