Ed was a proud veteran of the U. S. Army where he served as a helicopter crew chief in Viet Nam. He was a retired truck driver, cattleman and collector of “treasures” often overlooked by others. He faced the very rare disease that destroyed his body with a courage that left his family in awe. He was a friend to many and will be dearly missed.
Services will be held on Monday, April 8 at the Eclectic United Methodist Church with visitation from 2 pm to 3 pm and services to follow. Pastor Mark Osgood will conduct the services. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with military honors.
The family would especially like to thank Dr. Marcial Mendez and the staff at Community Hospice – Susan, Kelly, Amy, Kandy, Allison and Chiquita.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Eclectic United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 240580, Eclectic, AL 36024. Online condolences at www.linvillememorial.com.
