Edmond Pierce

Mr. Edmond Todd Pierce, age 58, of Tallassee, passed away May 14, 2014. He was born January 16, 1956.

Visitation will be Friday, May 16 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at East Tallassee Baptist Church, followed by the funeral service at 3:00 pm with Rev. Kevin Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home officiating.

He is survived by his mother, Edna Pierce; brother, Danny F. Pierce Sr. (Rosemary); sisters, Joyce Davis (Robert) and Shan Wallace (Alan); best friend, Jimmy Sims; and nieces and nephews, Michael Pierce (Brett), Logan, Amy Laurel, Scott Davis (Tara), Wyatt, Jessica Herrington (Kevin), Anna, Ava, Erik Creswell (Amanda), Troupe, Whit, Amanda Wilson (Chris), Piper, Pierce, Shannon Wallace (Teresa), Jacob, Beau, Emily, Cody, Will, Stacie Baker (Ricky), Bailey, Blaire, Britney, Danny Pierce Jr., Natalie, Nathaniel, Noah, Sunnie Ryan (Jeffery) and Kylie Ann. He is preceded in death by his father, Edmond R. “Sonny” Pierce.

Todd was a dedicated member of East Tallassee Baptist Church where he served in several positions, including deacon. He loved to memorize Bible verses and had a special heart for the children of the church. He loved Alabama athletics, especially Alabama football. Todd was employed with Tallassee Mills for 30 years. He always had a smile for everyone he met and will be dearly missed. Flowers accepted or donations may be made to Relay for Life or East Tallassee Baptist Church.
