David Lester Teel

David Lester Teel, 58, passed away September 25, 2011 in Lousville, Kentucky. He was born October 14, 1952 in Birmingham, Alabama.

He is survived by his parents, Dr. James Howard Teel and Clara Maxine Teel; sisters, Becky Teel, Louisville, KY; Kathy Zimmerman (Michael), Nashville, TN and Marcia Daoud (Edward), Rockville, MD; brother, Stephen Teel, Germantown, MD; niece, Chelsea Newhall, Washington, DC; nephews, Matt Zimmerman, Blacksburg, VA; Tim Zimmerman, Cookeville, TN and Mark Daoud, Rockville, MD; his beloved Aunt, Shelby Hamilton (Billy), Uncle Randal and Dodie Teel of Kent and many cousins in Elmore County and northern Alabama.

David was a graduate of Waggoner High School. He attended Auburn University and the University of Louisville. He lived in East Pakistan (now called Bangladesh) as a child with his family. While there he attended Dacca America School in Dacca, Bangladesh. He will be remembered by his family and friends as one who valiantly fought mental illness all of his adult life and later bladder cancer.

Graveside services will be Friday, September 30, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Bethlehem East Baptist Church Cemetery.
