David Sanders “Da Da”, 54, of Tallassee, went to his heavenly home on July 14, 2022. He was born on July 3, 1968.
He attended the Church of God’s Grace. He had previously worked for the City of Tallassee as utility and animal control for 19 years. David coached his daughters, nieces, and nephews in Tee-Ball, Dixie Youth baseball and softball for many years. His family owned a dairy farm for many years which continued his love for farming and animals. His greatest love was his daughters and granddaughters. The babies will tell you they are “Pappy’s Girls”.
David is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kim Sanders; daughters, Blakely (Victor) Taylor and Bailey (Jarrett) Bryan; grandchildren, Ryleigh Taylor, Lillian Bryan, and Maesyn Taylor; father, Jesse C. Sanders; siblings, Mike (Audrey) Sanders, Craig (Laura) Sanders and Michele (Mark) Hornsby; in-laws, David and Judy Kopecky, Missy (Dwayne) Johnson, Tammie (Mike) Richardson and Billie Shae (David) Gray; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by mother, Geneva “Bea” Sanders; grandparents, Jesse E. and Lucille Sanders and Willie “Shorty” and Zora Thornton; niece, Kristen Sanders and numerous aunts and uncles.
Pallbearers are Justin Sanders, Chase Sanders, Hunter Hornsby, Ben Bryson, Josh Johnson, Chandler Gray, Kalen Thompson, Dexter Taylor and Roy Lee Stroud. Honorary pallbearer is Jacob Johnson.
The family will receive friends at Liberty Baptist Church, Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 9am to 10am with the funeral and graveside services to follow. The services will be officiated by Bro. Tim Davis and Bennie Speake.
