Daughtry Heisler

Daughtry Fomby Heisler, 94, a resident of Smiths Station, formerly a longtime resident of Tallassee, passed away March 11, 2011. She was born July 21, 1916.

Funeral services will be Sunday, March 13, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Linville Memorial Chapel with Minister Michael McElroy officiating. Great-grandsons will be pallbearers. Burial will follow in Carrville Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.

She is survived by daughters, Sandra Goss of Smiths Station, AL and Tijo Shirley (John) of Tallassee; daughter-in-law, Genny Heisler of Independence, KS; sisters-in-law, Jenny Brooks and Violet Fomby; grandchildren, Tim Shirley (Jeannie), Lynn Shirley (Rhonda), Brenda Wright (Gary), Angela Parsons, Craig Goss, Jason Krummel (Mary), Roy Thornton (Anna), Terrie Thornton, Cathy Thornton, Jeff Thornton (Becky) and Richard Heisler (Mary); nineteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ira "Bud" and Vallie Evans Fomby; husband of 65 years, Roy Heisler; son, Neil Heisler; daughter, Linda Gail; grandson, Mike Goss; brothers, Chester Fomby, Lloyd Fomby, Robert Fomby, Lehman Fomby and Dony Fomby and sister, Mattie Webster.
