Mr. Charles “Charlie” Thornell, age 56, a resident of Eclectic, passed away June 2, 2013. He was born March 22, 1957. He was a loving son, brother, father and grandfather and a friend to all he met. He was a dedicated employee at Steris Corporation for almost 36 years.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 5 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 6 at 11 am at Linville Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ron Estes officiating. Burial will follow at Bullard Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.
He is survived by his daughter, Hayley Hooks (Adam) of Pike Road, AL; grandson, Charlie Hooks; mother, Libby Ruth Thornell of Eclectic, AL; brother, James Thornell of Eclectic, AL; and sisters, Carolyn Denham (Rex) and Ruthie Spencer (Les).
He is preceded in death by his father, Roscoe Thornell; brother, Lawrence Thornell; sister-in-law, Moncell Thornell and great niece, Loryn A. Brown.
