Charles Earl Pemberton

Charles E. Pemberton, 84, of Tallassee, passed away September 6, 2020. He was born May 8, 1936.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at 2 pm at First Baptist Church of Tallassee with Rev. Derek Gentle officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church beginning at 1 pm. COVID 19 precautions will be observed and everyone is asked to wear a face mask.

He is survived by his wife, Bernella Pemberton; son, Charles E. “Butch” Pemberton; daughter, LeAnne Pitchford (Gary); stepchildren, Julie Benson and Steve Weldon (Nancy); granddaughter, Merranda Smith (Corey); great grandchildren, Carter Smith and Tate Smith; sisters, Joyce Cole (Doug), Joan Woodall, Wayne Burton, Marie Gallagher and Janice Brown (Kenneth); brothers, Stanley Pemberton (Rita), Benny Frank Pemberton (Lenora) and John David Pemberton (Donna) and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Wilma Pemberton and brother, James Thomas “Snooky” Pemberton.
