Chalmers Raysor Bryan, Jr. passed away April 10, 2024, surrounded by family. He was born March 7, 1943.

Reformation Presbyterian Church, Pike Road will host a celebration of life service on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 3 pm. Rev. Chris Carver and Rev. Jeff Lawrence will officiate.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Judith Bryan; his daughter Susan Morris and her husband Dick; his son Chalmers "Chip" Bryan III and his wife Anne Marie; his grandchildren Elliott Morris and his wife Callie, Sarah-Cabot Morris and Pierce Bryan; and his brother Douglas Bryan.

Chalmers was an Alumnus of Sidney Lanier and the University of Tennessee. While at the University he was manager of the track team. He served five years in the United States Navy. For the next 52 years he worked in the commercial tire and wheel industry.

Chalmers was devoted to his church, Reformation Presbyterian in Pike Road, which he helped establish in August of 2022. There he served as an Elder and facilitated a Sunday School class. He was a life member of the T Club at the University of Tennessee, belonged to the Pike Road Kiwanis Club and the Thursday morning Bible study as well as his Wednesday lunch group. He enjoyed ringing the bell for the Salvation Army every Christmas, supported Friendship Mission, Adullam House and Isaiah 58 in Santuck. He was also a devoted member of the Child Evangelism Fellowship team doing outreach with young children. In his spare time he loved reading all types of books from religious to spy to history. Chalmers was devoted to his family, hosting a family reunion of up to 35 family members every Fourth of July for the last 25 years.
