Annie Jewell Motley

Mrs. Annie J. Motley, 84, of Eclectic, passed away March 4, 2020. She was born August 10, 1935.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at 2 pm at First Baptist Church of Eclectic with Rev. Mark Smith officiating. Pall bearers will be Jimmy K. Lanier, Steve Maynard, Stevie Williams, Charles Owenby, Dennis Wright and Hugh Holley. Burial will follow at Bullard Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be at the church prior to the service, beginning at 1 pm.

She retired from Baptist South Pharmacy. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Eclectic where she enjoyed serving in WMU and many other ministries of the church. She loved her family and leaves them with many wonderful memories. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by daughter, Mary Ann Corliss (Regi); adopted son, Kenny Jones (Marie); grandchildren, Jason Taunton (Carter), Stephen Taunton (Mallory), Janel Corliss Gay (Stuart), Andrew Jones and Vernon Jones; great grandchildren, Blakely Taunton, Addison Gay, Ella Stuart Gay Barrett Taunton and Emory Taunton; nieces, Joy Lynch (Ed) and Faith Alexander (Gregg); and a loving extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Bessie Hartley; husband, Vernon Motley; brother, Aubrey B. Hartley and sister-in-law, Rose Marie Hartley.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church of Eclectic, PO Box 240400, Eclectic, AL 36024 in her memory.
