Amy Carol Griggs

Amy Carol Griggs, age 57, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024 at home. She was born May 8, 1967, in Tallassee, Alabama, to Doris Cosby and Lewis Griggs.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Wednesday, August 28 at Linville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 12 pm Thursday, August 29 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Reeltown Cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her father, Lewis Griggs; mother, Doris Cosby Griggs; siblings, Sharon Reynolds, Dan Griggs and Jerry Griggs; and great niece, Jasmine McCleallan.

She is survived by her four children, Brandi Griggs (Scottie), Eric Melton (Sherie), Justin Melton (Santana) and Courtney Melton (Steven); grandchildren, Addison and Alyssa Ledbetter, Alexys Underwood, Khloee and Olivia Melton, and Caitlin and Hannah Melton; nieces and nephews, Kathy Burrows, Angie Reynolds, Daniel Reynolds, Chad and Preston Jones, and many more loving family members and friends.

Amy was a strong, fun-loving woman who could light up every room she entered. To know her was to love her. Our dear Mimi - no matter what she faced, she put her loved ones first all the time. She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the opportunity to meet her.
