Alfie Morris Bolan Boyett, 89, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016. Born on June 17, 1926 in Randolph County, Alabama, she was the daughter of Gordon and Bessie Mitchell Morris. Formerly a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, Mrs. Boyett had lived in Prattville, Alabama, for the past 48 years.
Visitation will be from 11 am to 12 noon, Monday, May 30, with funeral service to follow at 12 noon at Prattmont Baptist Church in Prattville, Rev. Randy Tucker officiating. Graveside service will follow at 2 pm at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tallassee, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.
She is preceded in death by husbands, Robert Bolan and Lonnie Boyett and sisters, Cathy Morris, Annie Jo Clegg and Lois Hamm.
She is survived by her children, Peggy Bolan Little (Ben), Linda Bolan Butler, David Bolan (Regina); sisters, Louise Cheevers and June Waldron; brothers, George “Buck” Morris, Horace Morris, Fargo “Bubba” Morris and Jerry Morris; grandchildren, Brook Little, Angela Butler Miller (Michael), Ned Butler III (Alison), Reid Butler (Mattene), John Aldridge (Jamie), Jennifer Aldridge Peterson (Jim) and Adrienne Bolan; and great grandchildren, Haleigh Michelle Miller, Heather Brooke Miller, Hunter Miller, Hannah Nicole Miller, Mary Evelyn Butler, Alice Gray Butler, Alyssa Marie Butler, Sarah Elizabeth Butler, Donavan Aldridge, Megan Green, Ethan Green, Harrison Green and Sarah Peterson.
Alfie was a member of Prattmont Baptist Church, where she faithfully served in several capacities. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved to garden, sew, quilt and play cards with her many friends and very special friend, Shirley Cook.
